Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant at Gastro Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Update patient medical charts with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
  • Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders, demonstrating technical skills and ability.
  • Provide patient education and personal patient care to ensure comfort and well-being.
  • Process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol under direction from providers.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with fellow clinic employees, managers, and providers.
  • Take direction and initiate actions to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Follow safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant (AAMA certification preferred).
  • Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred.
