The Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, ensuring a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Utilize the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
- Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
- STABLE preferred.
