Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Dallas Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to new mothers and their families during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including fetal monitoring and labor support.
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
  • NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
  • Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
  • STABLE preferred.
