Nurse Practitioner

Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital that offers a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. As a Graduate Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. You will also communicate with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. The Graduate Registered Nurse must take the NCLEX-RN within three months of hiring. The temporary Graduate Nurse Permit will expire immediately and the individual will no longer be eligible to work. To be eligible for this position, you must have a current Temporary Graduate Nurse Permit and a current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. You must also have a current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
