Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a meticulous and seasoned Commercial Estimator. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting precise and competitive cost assessments for commercial door and window initiatives. A robust grasp of construction methodologies, materials, and industry benchmarks is essential for this position.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate project blueprints and specifications to formulate comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Engage with sales teams, project leaders, and clients to ascertain project specifications.
  • Draft and deliver bid proposals that encompass labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
  • Identify and assess cost determinants, including production timelines and raw material costs.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics, pricing strategies, and construction practices.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure precise pricing information.
  • Revise and update estimates in light of project modifications and client input.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and organizational protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial estimating, ideally within the door and window sector.
  • Proficient in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and numerical aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze architectural plans and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
