Position Overview
As a Machine Learning Engineer at The Learning Experience #363, you will be instrumental in the creation, implementation, and optimization of machine learning models that enhance our educational offerings. Collaborating with diverse teams, including product development, engineering, and data analytics, you will integrate advanced ML solutions into our services, driving improvements in educational outcomes and operational efficiency.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Formulating and advancing the machine learning strategy across the organization.
- Promoting the adoption of ML technologies and best practices.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and data scientists.
- Model Development and Deployment:
- Designing, building, and deploying scalable ML models for applications such as personalized learning experiences and predictive analytics.
- Ensuring models are efficient, robust, and maintainable.
- Collaborating with software engineers to seamlessly integrate ML models into production systems.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Working closely with data engineering teams to ensure high-quality data availability for model training and evaluation.
- Conducting data exploration, cleaning, and preprocessing.
- Performing rigorous testing and validation of machine learning models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partnering with product managers to identify opportunities for ML to address educational challenges and enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure ML solutions meet business needs and compliance requirements.
- Effectively communicating complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Research and Innovation:
- Staying informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and AI.
- Experimenting with new algorithms and techniques to enhance existing models and explore new applications.
- Contributing to the organization’s intellectual property through innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying ML models in production environments.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Strong skills in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Pandas, or equivalent tools.
- Experience in designing and deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the education sector or related industries.
- Knowledge of data standards and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with big data technologies.
- Understanding of natural language processing and computer vision techniques.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and extensive reading.

- Ability to perform repetitive motions required for operating computers.
