Job Title: Sales Growth Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Sales Growth Specialist at Shamrock Foods Company, you will be responsible for maximizing sales growth profitably. To accomplish this, you will represent our products and services to restaurants, resorts, hotels, and other institutional establishments through face-to-face interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect New Customers: Build a territory to grow the customer base by identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Maintain Current Customer Base: Grow the share of the customer's business by providing exceptional customer service, identifying new sales opportunities, and developing strategic plans to increase sales.
  • Impact Customer Success:
    • Support Customer Menu Engineering: Collaborate with customers to develop and implement menu engineering strategies that drive sales growth and profitability.
    • Support Food Cost Analysis: Work with customers to analyze food costs and develop strategies to reduce waste and improve profitability.
    • Consume and Share Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and share market intelligence with customers to help them make informed business decisions.
    • Conduct Product Demonstrations: Take sample products to customers' restaurants or facilities to demonstrate our products and services.
    • Facilitate Demonstrations of Capabilities: Showcase our capabilities to support customers and help them achieve their business goals.
  • Share New Product Innovation: Utilize Shamrock resources to share new product innovation with customers and help them stay ahead of the competition.
  • Build Multi-Level Relationships: Develop relationships with customers at all levels, from chefs to owners, to understand their business needs and develop strategic plans to meet those needs.
  • Keep Accounts Current: Optimize sales, service, and delivery to keep accounts current and collect past-due balances from customers.
  • Leverage Technology: Use technology to improve customer efficiency and drive customer experience enhancements.
  • Participate in On-Going Training: Continuously develop skills through on-going training to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience in culinary, restaurant operations, foodservice, or other related experience preferred.
  • Previous Sales Experience: Previous successful sales experience a plus.
  • Current Driver License: Must have a current driver license.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving.
  • Technology Comfort: Comfort using technology and analyzing customer data.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledgeable on industry trends.
  • Microsoft Office Expertise: Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Lifting and Moving: Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Compensation: Starting compensation of $40,000-$100,000 per year based on achievement of performance goals, eventually transitioning to commission-basis.
