Strategies to Empower People, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Empowerment Specialist to join our team. As an Empowerment Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with Developmental Disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Independent Living Skills training and Employment Services support to adults with Developmental Disabilities
- Work with a caseload of clients to develop and implement personalized plans to achieve their goals
- Assist clients in accessing services they are eligible for, such as SNAP and SSI
- Help clients develop relationships with people in their lives and build a support network
- Provide guidance and support in areas such as health management, money management, and education
- At least 1 year of experience working with the I/DD population beyond a basic caregiving role
- Independent Living Skills (ILS) experience and Tailored Day Services & Employment Services experience
- Current driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record
- Adaptable computer skills and ability to use our agency database system
