Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Administrator to join our team at Westlake Chemical. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain enterprise systems, including Meridium/APM
  • Develop and implement project plans, including detailed plans, milestones, and work breakdown structures
  • Manage project life cycles, including project scope, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including business sponsors and business owners, to ensure user satisfaction is maintained
  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and technical specifications
  • Support and maintain applications, including evaluating, interpreting, and understanding functional specifications for highly complex custom development
  • Provide technical and functional consulting as needed
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a business and/or project analyst with Meridium/APM
  • 5+ years of experience with delivery of application solutions
  • Experience with integration of enterprise applications
  • Strong Project Management skills, including certification in PMP or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of SLCP and SDLC
  • Expert troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Strong systems analysis and design skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple job assignments at once
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a short period of time with little supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to frame issues clearly for less technical colleagues and customers
  • Ability to attend training courses, learn, and apply new technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong command of MS Office tool set (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MS Project
