We are seeking a skilled Local News Photographer to join our team at Hearst Television. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that tells the story of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Visual Storytelling: Capture compelling images and videos that bring our stories to life.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with reporters, producers, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of news stories.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and operate professional camera equipment, including ENG trucks and wireless data transmission systems.
  • Post-Production: Edit video and still images for broadcast and online platforms using Adobe Premiere and other digital tools.
  • Content Creation: Develop and publish content for our online platforms, including social media and website.
  • Organization and Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored, and that all content is properly cataloged and archived.
Requirements
  • Training and Experience: Training in video photojournalism and professional or college experience in a newsroom.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment and work in all weather conditions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital editing tools, including Adobe Premiere, and knowledge of ENG trucks and wireless data transmission systems.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
