Job Description

Mardel Christian & Education is a national Christian bookstore with a mission to equip the whole person by providing spiritual and intellectual resources. As a Merchandiser, you will be part of a team that collaborates with buyers and vendors to create attractive and functional merchandise layouts for retail stores.

Responsibilities
  • Order, process, and return large amounts of merchandise with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage data with precision and produce high-quality photographs of displays.
  • Print and distribute schematics, memos, and supporting documentation and materials.
Requirements
  • Collaborate with buying staff on product displays and merchandise.
  • Be comfortable working with various fixtures and equipment.
  • Clearly and accurately provide written instructions to stores on how to execute new layouts.
  • Actively listen and respond to needs quickly, using problem-solving skills.
  • Understand the importance of deadlines and be able to pivot quickly.
  • Microsoft Office experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to use office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanning machines.
  • Math skills, including basic math functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Lift up to twenty (20) pounds and perform other physical tasks as required.
Education & Experience
  • A combination of 2+ years of merchandising experience in a retail environment or education in a related field.
