As a Local News Photographer at Hearst Television, you will be responsible for capturing the essence of what's happening in the field and bringing it vividly into the homes of our viewers. Your duties will include:

* Shooting and editing of VOs, VO-SOTs, and packages for broadcast air and online postings
* Working with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories
* Shooting on assigned professional camera equipment
* Editing in Adobe Premiere and using ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completed work to the station
* Gathering video and still pictures for digital platforms
* Working with reporters and producers to ensure the best content and facts are gathered
* Working with producers to ensure their creative vision is accomplished with vivid video and natural sound
* Coordinating incoming video elements from crews in the field
* Working with catalog systems to save/store, record, and locate necessary video
* Producing and publishing content to our online platforms
* Organization and attention to gear/equipment maintenance

Requirements:

* Training in the art of video photojournalism
* Professional or college experience in a newsroom
* Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
* Experience with ENG trucks
* Ability to work in all weather conditions
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Must operate digital editing tools
* Must have computer and software experience; knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Precis, and CNN platforms
* Ability to organize and prioritize
* Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
* Ability to deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
* Related military experience will be considered
* In-person attendance is required
