Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a dermatology setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans; observe, report and record pertinent patient information into electronic health record system in accordance with Dermatology Service protocols.
  • Administer medications within parameters defined by Dermatology Service after successful orientation; perform nursing procedures within the parameters defined by the Dermatology Service.
  • Photograph patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques and equipment.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities; supports peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care.
  • Identify patient care needs and utilize nursing resources appropriately.
  • Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls which may result in scheduling patient appointments, as well as Telehealth appointments.
  • Informs patients of pathology, lab results and plan of care.
  • Utilizes In-Basket messages to monitor all biopsies and ensures that all necessary therapies are administered as scheduled by the physician.
  • Provide clinical nursing coverage across the Medical Dermatology specialty services.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current LPN Skilled Nursing experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited LPN program
  • Active unencumbered LPN Oklahoma state license
  • One year of Epic experience
