As a Respiratory Therapist with OneHeart Medical Staffing, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Your expertise will be essential in managing respiratory systems, administering oxygen therapy, and performing various diagnostic tests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and manage related equipment, including mechanical ventilators.
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols.
  • Collect and analyze blood gas samples, interpreting results to inform patient care.
  • Sample blood from invasive cardiovascular lines and manage artificial airways.
  • Administer aerosolized medications and provide humidity therapy as needed.
  • Deliver oxygen therapy, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), and bilevel CPAP treatments.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and incentive spirometry to assess patient respiratory function.
  • Apply chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques to promote patient comfort and respiratory health.
  • Assess patient needs, educate patients and families, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with department policies and maintain high standards of quality control.

Requirements:

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
