Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellence in product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspection Accountability:
    Take complete ownership of the inspection process for a comprehensive range of units in accordance with the established inspection plan. This role involves a combination of manual inspections, review of certification documentation, and analysis of inspection data, including CMM reports and manual inspections conducted by colleagues.
  • Non-Conformance Management:
    Draft thorough, detailed, and actionable Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and oversee the verification of corrective actions. Collaborate with CAM and engineering teams to facilitate root cause analysis for issues identified during inspections.
  • Training and Development:
    Educate technicians on both manual and mechanical inspection methodologies, ensuring a high level of proficiency across the team.
  • Technical Oversight:
    Supervise technicians engaged in manual inspections, providing hands-on assistance as needed to uphold quality standards. Note that this role does not involve direct management responsibilities.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI):
    Lead the validation of new processes by offering in-depth technical insights to CAM programming, Manufacturing Engineering, and Applications Engineering teams. Quality Specialists are expected to conduct proof-outs from start to finish using programs developed by CMM Programmers, and subsequently manage the process release to production, adjusting and calibrating as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of inspection experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using all hand and mechanical inspection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and comprehend Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume inspection role within the aerospace sector or similar industries with strict tolerance standards.
  • Preferred Skills:
    Experience with PC-DMIS programming, aerospace inspection, machining, and optical measurement devices (such as comparators, structured light scanning, and optical profilometers) is advantageous.
