Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Glendale Community College. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our faculty and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty and staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, both physical and electronic.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events, as well as prepare and distribute meeting materials and agendas.
  • Prepare and process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
