Job Overview

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of our community, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services for our residents.

With a strong background in nursing, you will administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, prioritizing resident well-being above all else. Your excellent communication skills and ability to make choices and decisions will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Document medication administration and review medication updates from Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless delivery of care and services
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control techniques and safety procedures
Requirements:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or state/province specific licensed nurse credential
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to react calmly in difficult situations and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
