About the Role

The Systems Engineer is a critical member of our IT team at Ocean Casino Resort, responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security of our server hardware, operating systems, and systems access controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for Windows and Linux-based servers, including maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer second-level support to internal IT groups, including technicians and applications teams.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, administrators, and engineers to provide comprehensive support across all sites.
  • Proactively address customer service issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Support system snapshot and backup infrastructure, including CommVault.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and Active Directory items.
  • Configure and manage server and network profiles in UCS.
  • Implement and maintain web site security and updates.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for systems acquisition, use, patching, support, and backup.
  • Establish and maintain system users and permissions, user environments, and file directories.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance our IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures.
  • Conduct analyses and generate reports on systems state.
Requirements
  • Experience with virtualization platforms, including VMWare, Nutanix, and HyperV.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, including PSRemote for local and cloud resources.
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP network stack and general computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and software.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to complete casino employee registration and abide by New Jersey Casino Control Act and regulations.
