Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee to join our team at the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality substance use disorder treatment services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee will work under the supervision of a licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional to provide a range of services, including assessments, treatment planning, and group facilitation. You will work closely with our treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substance use disorder assessments using ASAM and DSM-V criteria
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based curricula
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with treatment team members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Valid Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee license with the Washington State Department of Health
  • Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires a 40-hour workweek. You will work primarily in an office setting, with occasional evening or weekend shifts. You must be able to lift and carry light loads of approximately 25 pounds and have the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
