Summary of Position:
This role involves providing comprehensive and autonomous secretarial assistance, necessitating an independent understanding of the policies and procedures within the College of Engineering Technology Dean's Office and associated areas. Responsibilities include supporting the college in various functions such as assessment, scholarships, enrollment management, curriculum, course evaluations, and webpage updates, as well as assisting the Associate Dean and performing other clerical tasks.

Required Education:
Completion of three years of college education or equivalent experience.

Required Work Experience:
Minimum of two years of full-time secretarial experience, including advanced bookkeeping, office supervisory duties, and public interaction requiring tact and diplomacy. Part-time experience may be considered equivalent.

Additional Considerations:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Extract information from various sources including books, journals, and reports.
2. Respond to inquiries from internal and external sources, providing explanations of policies and procedures.
3. Collect and analyze complex data from multiple sources.
4. Coordinate operations and activities with other clerical staff to ensure consistency in policy application.
5. Draft correspondence that reflects an understanding of departmental activities.
6. Utilize computer systems for data management and reporting.
7. Train junior clerical staff.
8. Monitor budget and maintain financial records for the division.
9. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
10. Attend meetings and assist in the preparation of materials for special events.

Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication with diverse groups, proficiency in various software applications, ability to interpret and resolve student issues, and strong organizational skills are essential.
