About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Help Desk Specialist to join our team at Maher Duessel. As a key member of our IT department, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of our systems and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the day-to-day operational tasks of our systems and network infrastructure, including installation, support, monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Test and implement system and security upgrades to ensure the integrity and security of our network.
  • Monitor, communicate, and troubleshoot any hardware or software issues that may arise.
  • Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions to ensure secure access to our systems.
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Participate in cybersecurity planning, testing, and operations to ensure the protection of our systems and data.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and provide technical support to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of our IT department.
Requirements
  • Minimum associate degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in an information technology role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols.
  • Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware.
  • Familiar working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, networks, and Active Directory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and respond positively to new ideas and developmental feedback.
