Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Neurologic Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians and mid-level providers in clinical activities and direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform professional nursing care in accordance with NYS Nursing Practice Act
- Carry out all assigned nursing procedures while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during emergent situations
- Provide patient education, as requested by providers
- Prepare patient records for visits, including chart prep and nurse note documentation
- Participate in scheduled team meetings to discuss clinical roles, processes, and patient concerns
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve patient-centered care and quality by implementing best practice standards
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse
- Preferred skills and experience include basic knowledge of cardiology diseases and treatment, knowledge of medical insurance carriers, and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks
