Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Cayuga Center for Infectious Diseases. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our physicians and mid-level providers in clinical activities and direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Act.
  • Carry out all assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practice protocol.
  • Take and record patient's vital signs and prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians/providers with procedures, patient care and/or scheduling.
  • Perform triage for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results and other patient calls per practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient's record for visit, as directed by physician/provider including providing patient education, as requested per physician/provider.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and committees, as requested.
  • Work with all members of the team to achieve patient-centered care as well as quality care by using the best practice standards and case management.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited RN program.
  • Current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of the practice management system, EMR and scheduling protocols.
Work Environment
  • Onsite.
Compensation
  • $35.63 to $44.18 per hour.
