Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Primary Care Internal Medicine team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians and mid-level providers in the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Support: Assist physicians and mid-level providers with clinical activities and direct patient care, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Appointment Scheduling: Assist with appointment scheduling and other related activities to optimize patient service and ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Clinical Duties: Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice per LPN license and in accordance with NYS laws and regulations, including taking and recording patient vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and sterilizing equipment and supplies.
- Call Management: Provide call management for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient calls, adhering to practice protocols.
- Documentation: Prepare patient records for visits, as directed by physicians/providers, and participate in scheduled team meetings to discuss roles, responsibilities, processes, and patient issues.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Licensure: Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Physical Demands: Standing (70%), sitting (30%), reaching (80%), bending (50%), and lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Location: Onsite at Cayuga Health System.
- Pay Range: $24.04 to $32.21 per hour.
