Bottling Operations Supervisor

The

Bottling Operations Supervisor

will oversee supervisory and leadership functions within the Bottling Department.

Key Responsibilities Include:


Managing the operations of designated bottling lines to effectively and efficiently fulfill production schedules while adhering to safety, quality, budgetary, and regulatory standards.

Offering technical support to operators and line personnel. Coordinating necessary maintenance actions to uphold production quality and efficiency. Collaborating with the Bottling Manager and maintenance team to implement operational and mechanical enhancements.

Assessing production efficiency and costs; planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating production on assigned lines; spearheading improvements and corrective action plans.

Establishing work schedules
Monitoring and enforcing all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies.

Providing leadership to the safety program for the Bottling department through the development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize workplace accidents.

Assisting in the investigation of EH&S incidents to identify and address root causes.

Understanding and complying with safety requirements of the position; prioritizing safety at all times and preventing co-workers from working unsafely.

Reporting all safety concerns and incidents immediately. Participating in safety inspections.
Training and supervising assigned bottling line employees to enhance skills and performance across the Bottling Department. Motivating and managing employees to produce quality products within established quality and efficiency guidelines. Evaluating employee performance and skill levels to identify improvement needs and developing plans to address them.

Creating and developing a personal development plan with the Bottling Manager to enhance a skill or competency that will improve personal skills and performance.

Improving at least one skill each year as agreed with the supervisor. Delivering on performance outcomes.
Continuously enhancing the quality of processes, products, services, and the workplace culture. Ensuring adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices. Analyzing and resolving product quality issues promptly to avoid rework.
Supporting the New Product Development Team in creating new products within timelines and budgets. Providing input to assess equipment capabilities and capital expenditure needs. Collaborating with the management team to implement new initiatives, including new products and packaging. Coordinating efforts with other departments to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Ensuring that defect-free products are scheduled, produced, and shipped on time to meet customer demand.

Meeting and exceeding customer expectations through effective supervision of assigned bottling lines to deliver products on time, within budget, and to meet quality specifications.

Resolving production-related challenges.
Recommending ideas to reduce costs. Ensuring production efficiency within cost standards. Tracking efficiencies, quality, and production data to enhance yields and throughput without compromising quality. Analyzing and resolving issues related to efficiency, processes, materials, scrap, and waste.
Providing leadership to assigned bottling line teams in alignment with the company's culture. Ensuring fair and respectful treatment of all employees. Fostering a team environment where all employees are encouraged to contribute to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Participating in initiatives to address issues identified through climate surveys and contribute to making the Company a Best Place to Work.

Ensuring all Bottling operations comply with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and TTB regulations. Taking immediate corrective action when necessary to maintain compliance. Performing duties responsibly and in accordance with Company procedures and applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office products
Proven ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels
Excellent oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of high-speed bottling equipment
Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment
A proven track record of successful management experience in a unionized manufacturing setting
Proven knowledge of manufacturing best practices
Strong planning and organizational skills
Lean Manufacturing experience
GMP and HACCP experience
