Key Responsibilities:
Project Management

Support the operational and maintenance teams in identifying and developing project proposals.
Generate cost assessments, project plans, and timelines for new initiatives.
Assist in preparing and submitting requests for capital expenditure approvals and significant repair projects.
Prepare and evaluate requests for quotations, and manage contracts for equipment, materials, design services, and construction.
Distribute updated documentation and drawings to project team members.
Review and authorize any modifications to project scope.
Coordinate project implementations to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Perform safety assessments to promote job safety and mitigate incidents during projects.
Ensure adherence to safe work practices by both contractors and Clearwater Paper personnel.

Provide regular updates on project status and assist in managing project scope and budget according to the approved plan.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Update drawings and equipment records to reflect any modifications. Revise mill records accordingly.
Initiate pre-start-up safety reviews to confirm equipment readiness. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams for successful project execution.
Oversee and drive completion of post-start-up tasks to achieve project objectives.

Engineering Design

Validate existing equipment layouts and specifications.
Assist in conducting engineering analyses for equipment selection and optimization.
Support the creation of detailed design drawings for equipment installations.
Facilitate coordination of design activities with consulting engineers and equipment suppliers.
Review and approve engineering and equipment drawings.

Maintenance and Operational Support

Provide technical support for troubleshooting equipment and operational challenges.
Research and recommend solutions for maintenance and operational issues.
Coordinate contractor activities for outsourced maintenance during equipment downtimes.
Deliver engineering calculations and design documentation for maintenance-installed equipment.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management and engineering design is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is necessary.
Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar enterprise resource planning systems is preferred.
Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with the ability to withstand high noise levels and extended periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory in the manufacturing environment.
Exposure to dirt, noise, odors, and temperature variations is expected.
Physical demands include climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
Exposure to hazardous materials used in the manufacturing process is part of the role.
