POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is tasked with protecting the organization’s assets and ensuring that financial statements are accurately prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The CFO will oversee compliance with financial policies and procedures while ensuring that internal controls are effectively designed and implemented. The CFO will identify and assess financial risks, establish mitigation strategies, and communicate financial opportunities to senior leadership. Responsibilities include monitoring financial performance and maintaining robust financial forecasts. The CFO must possess strong business acumen to collaborate effectively with various departments, including Compliance, Accounting, and Legal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing operational results to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and advising on necessary adjustments.
  • Establishing sound financial controls and maintaining accurate record-keeping.
  • Staying informed of regulatory changes and adapting policies accordingly.
  • Ensuring ethical conduct in all financial operations.
  • Developing and monitoring the annual budget in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Preparing financial forecasts and managing cash flow effectively.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership on strategic financial planning.
  • Evaluating capital project investments and managing expenditures in line with financial projections.
