The Senior Treasury Analyst will deliver essential Treasury support services, overseeing a range of regular Treasury functions. This role involves cross-training and assisting with daily cash management, account structure optimization, and periodic cash forecasting. A key focus will be on enhancing and consolidating current Treasury processes to improve efficiency. The position requires close collaboration with various departments and demands prompt responses to internal stakeholders while adhering to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and execution of departmental strategies and best practices.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements while providing training across the organization.
  • Initiate and approve daily electronic funds transfers (EFTs) including wires, internal bank transfers, and ACH transactions.
  • Manage recurring Treasury transactions such as remote bank deposits, stop payments, and cashier's check requests.
  • Monitor daily bank account activities for unauthorized transactions, cash shortages, positive pay exceptions, and returned items.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of bank accounts.
  • Help with the setup and maintenance of Merchant Accounts.
  • Download and review monthly bank statements.
  • Communicate with financial institutions, accounting teams, and management to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Assist accounting with inquiries related to resident payments.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to the documentation and review of accounting policies and procedures, suggesting updates and improvements.
  • Utilize professional judgment to determine appropriate procedures for preparing accounting records, transactions, and reports.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving as necessary.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in accounting records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review loan agreements to ensure compliance with debt covenants regarding bank account setups and cash movements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Treasury-related role.
  • Experience with Yardi is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with banking websites such as Cashpro or ACCESS is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Collaborative team player, capable of working with all levels of staff and external partners to enhance performance and problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsive to deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
