Job Title: Process Automation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Control Southern. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of projects executed by your group meet or exceed customer and Control Southern project success criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of projects executed by your group meet or exceed customer and Control Southern project success criteria.
  • Interpret technical documents, requirements, and design specifications with aggressive attention to detail.
  • Read and understand industry-standard engineering drawings, including system/network architecture, P&IDs, electrical power wiring diagrams, and control panel layout.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain supporting documentation obtained from OEM suppliers, external customer representatives, component suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Work with Resource Manager to forecast resource needs for current and upcoming projects.
  • Create an environment for a highly motivated and engaged team of professionals.
  • Develop partnerships with customers and act as the focal point for ensuring customer satisfaction across all project work undertaken by the group.
  • Proactively provide support to the sales team in developing and winning new business with current and new customers in the assigned industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 1-2 years experience OR Associate's degree (A.A.) from a Technical School plus 5-10 years experience.
  • In-depth process and automation knowledge.
  • Previous DCS configuration and programming experience with Emerson PROVOX and DeltaV control systems.
  • Previous experience with PLCs, automation/building management control systems, and industrial automation project delivery environments.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and able to lead team through change.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and organizational skills.
