About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at E Tech Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading or contributing to detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define architecture requirements and develop detailed software design specifications
  • Program PLC and SCADA applications, configure thin client server applications, and configure process-based historian databases
  • Tune control loops, provide control system startup and commissioning services, and troubleshoot existing control systems
  • Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs
  • Interact with customers to gain an understanding of the business environment and define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Engineering fields
  • 2-5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and consulting experience
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and an understanding of process controls
  • Ignition experience required, with Rockwell experience in ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PlantPAx, Factory Talk Software Suite, Studio 5000, PLC5, SLC500, RSView, PanelView Plus, etc.
  • Other PLC platform experience (GE, Siemens, Modicon) and SCADA and HMI package experience (Proficy and Wonderware)
  • Experience implementing detailed control system electrical design packages and working knowledge of control system networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)
  • Understanding of Biopharmaceutical processes, GMP and validation, and knowledge of S88 Batch standards and experience implementing batch systems
  • Instrumentation experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork, with US work authorization required
