Information Technology Support Technician

Become a vital part of Leidos as an Information Technology (IT) Service/Support Technician. This role is essential in delivering exceptional technical assistance and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Support Technician, you will:
- Modify system configurations and software settings for local workstations running Windows 10.
- Utilize helpdesk tracking software to manage support requests.
- Document internal processes and procedures for reference.
- Install, test, and configure new hardware and software for workstations and laptops.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.
- Escalate issues to appropriate team members when necessary.
- Oversee the setup and deployment of PCs for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary hardware and software.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
- Provide recommendations on hardware specifications.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on IT equipment as needed.
- Participate in configuration control and change management activities.
- Ensure timely upgrades of hardware and software.
- Deliver in-person support to resolve customer issues with hardware and software.
- Document incident resolutions in the incident management database.
- Offer friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist with system-wide software installations and performance optimization.
- Understand the interdependencies of hardware and software components.
- Contribute to the development and updates of standard operating procedures.
- Occasionally travel to alternate sites for support as required.
- Perform cable management and repairs, including CAT 5/6 cabling.
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Security + CE Certification.
- A current Secret level security clearance; candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
- A willingness to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree (minimum of 4 years of related experience required).
- Microsoft Certification.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Imaging Process, and Office Suite.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range for this position is between $68,000 and $124,550. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the final offer may include job responsibilities, education, experience, and market alignment.
