GMP Group Inc. is a premier residential construction firm seeking a dedicated Construction Project Administrator. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with a Custom Estate Builder, focusing on high-end residential projects.

The Construction Project Administrator serves as the liaison for the company, overseeing the daily management and direction of construction projects. The primary objective is to ensure that projects are executed safely, adhere to budget constraints, remain on schedule, and meet both quality benchmarks and client satisfaction. To achieve these goals, the Administrator will assist in developing a comprehensive construction plan and ensure that daily and weekly operations align with this strategy. Collaboration with the Project Superintendent is essential, as their combined efforts will enhance project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the verification of all layout before construction activities commence.
  • Assist in reviewing and correcting shop drawings.
  • Facilitate subcontractor productivity by ensuring all prerequisite tasks are completed before the next milestone begins.
  • Evaluate subcontractor methodologies and ensure that quality, safety standards, and construction timelines are upheld.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential conflicts in project plans before they impact work execution.

Daily Duties:

  • Coordinate all construction activities under the guidance of the Superintendent.
  • Ensure compliance of work with project plans and specifications.
  • Maintain job site safety protocols.
  • Monitor work performance in accordance with the project completion schedule.
  • Implement quality control measures.

Specific Tasks:

  • Interpret and understand all project plans and specifications, addressing any discrepancies immediately.
  • Review subcontract agreements, focusing on scopes and special provisions.
  • Conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors.
  • Maintain a daily log of project activities.
  • Keep project drawings updated and manage As-Built documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain 'Run Lists' for each subcontractor.
  • Administer all inspections by government agencies.
  • Assist with purchasing as necessary.
  • Support layout and survey activities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on change estimations when needed.
  • Confirm delivery of materials and completion of work.
  • Develop a Punch List in coordination with the Superintendent.
  • Notify the Superintendent and office two weeks prior to the commencement of any subcontractor work.
  • Inform the main office of any sub-subcontractors involved in the project.
  • Communicate the names of vendors delivering to the job site.
  • Ensure subcontractors are utilizing the most current project plans.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with the construction team, architects, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Procore is advantageous.
  • Understanding of construction documentation processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and submittals.

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction sector is preferred but not mandatory. A comprehensive benefits package is available, with compensation commensurate with experience.
