We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible Certified Pharmacy Specialist to positively impact the lives of our residents in long-term care and assisted living environments.

This is a FULL-TIME, on-site role.

Position Overview for Pharmacy Specialist:
The Pharmacy Specialist is tasked with supporting Pharmacists in the accurate filling, coordination, and distribution of medications.

Work Schedule:
Rotating shifts (7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm on weekdays);

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Pharmacy Specialist:

Accurately fills prescriptions, utilizing computer-generated labels, and completes packing and auxiliary labels to ensure proper dispensing of medications.

Places products in designated facility dock spaces or cycle areas for pharmacist verification prior to delivery.
Maintains cleanliness and organization in dispensing, inventory, storeroom, general office, and other work areas consistently.
Receives and restocks inventory upon order receipt from wholesalers or manufacturers (excluding controlled substances).
Reorders products using the wholesaler's computer system as directed.
Bags and organizes facility orders for delivery to drivers as needed.
Rotates stock when placing wholesaler orders away.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all policies and procedures and can reference them as necessary.

Maintains required certifications, participates in in-services and training, and stays updated with best practices and any operational changes.


Qualifications for Certified Pharmacy Specialist:
Pharmacy Technician Certification is mandatory.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology through a certificate course or equivalent experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
This role necessitates regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors.

To ensure a safe working environment for all parties, this position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or advanced level.
