Position Overview

As an Automotive Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding car-buying experience for our clients. This position offers the thrilling opportunity to leverage your product expertise, cultivate relationships, assess customer needs, and successfully close sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address the transportation needs of vehicle buyers.
  • Welcome and assist customers entering the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Guide customers in selecting vehicles by asking insightful questions and attentively listening to their responses.
  • Communicate product performance, applications, and benefits effectively.
  • Detail all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Follow dealership protocols to obtain necessary identification from customers prior to test drives.
  • Encourage test drives for all prospective buyers.
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems diligently.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
  • Set personal sales goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Participate in required product and sales training as directed by the sales manager.
  • Stay informed about new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to customers.
  • Explain equity and values, including depreciation, to customers.
  • Ensure the sales manager has the opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Submit all closed deals to the finance and insurance manager with the necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to their arrival.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of our service repairs and maintenance.
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, ensuring all customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business, contributing to customer satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze personal performance regularly to enhance time management and planning.
  • Attend sales meetings and maintain a professional appearance.
