Job Description:

As a Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for establishing software engineering standards, influencing strategic decisions, and building solutions according to Agile methodologies. You will reduce technical debt and modernize applications, improving stability and resiliency of software applications and batch processes. You will also improve software engineering standards and quality to drive innovation within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate and incorporate business vision and strategy to architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.
  • Participate in high-level, cross-functional architecture design teams.
  • Identify and consult with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.
  • Consult on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
  • Consult on deployment of major project deliverables.
  • Consult on the documentation of major technology applications.
  • Oversee the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.
  • Initiate and drive project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
  • Set vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.
  • Plan and lead organization-wide initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.
  • Advise senior management on technical strategy.
  • Research and recommend new technologies.
  • Work across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.
  • Regularly provide guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.
  • Identify and plan for future resource needs.
  • Determine technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) coordinating the implementation of comprehensive end-to-end test strategy and automation frameworks for large-scale DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software development projects and platform modernization initiatives, using Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, Java, or Python.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) coordinating the implementation of comprehensive end-to-end test strategy and automation frameworks for large-scale DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software development projects and platform modernization initiatives, using Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, Java, or Python.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks at enterprise scale for functional, regression, performance, and security testing using Selenium, Cypress, ReadyAPI, Burp Suite, or JMeter.
  • Developing, architecting, and coordinating responsive applications and test automation strategies for native mobile (IOS or Android) and web applications on AWS or Azure cloud environments, using Groovy, JavaScript, Appium, Mobile device farms (Perfecto, Seetest) and Web security technologies (Burp suite, OAuth, and SAML).
  • Implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to achieve highly efficient, performant, and agile software deployment using automated DevOps processes -- Maven, Jenkins, JFrog Antifactory, Docker, GitHub, or Sonar.
  • Implementing AI-driven testing solutions to enable intelligent test automation using AI/ML models for: test automation, synthetic test data creation, optimizing test execution suites to improve test coverage, and testing efficiency and test cycle times while protecting sensitive data and adhering to compliance requirements.

Salary: $173,216.174.00/year.
