Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering plans and specifications for HVDC projects.
  • Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, commercial, and development, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, including cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Invenergy's quality management system and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering management, with a focus on HVDC projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other engineering software tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering management, with a focus on HVDC projects.
  • PE License.
  • Experience with civil and structural building codes, civil engineering standards, and other design specifications.
  • Experience with FEM-based software and science.
  • HVDC construction and maintenance experience.
