Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced American Sign Language Program Supervisor to join our team at Viability, Inc. This is a full-time position that requires fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a strong understanding of Deaf culture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and effective operation of our Deaf Services program, ensuring that all objectives are met and working closely with the Director to manage operations within budgetary limits.

This role involves supervising staff, participating in management tasks, and providing backup support in other programs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with seven years of related experience or a Master's degree with five years of experience, with at least one year of experience in a supervisor role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective programs and services for individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Late Deafened
  • Supervise and manage staff to ensure high-quality services and program outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement program strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies
  • Provide training and support to staff on Deaf culture and ASL

Requirements:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a strong understanding of Deaf culture
  • Bachelor's degree with seven years of related experience or Master's degree with five years of experience
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisor role
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations
