Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing kitchen personnel, supervising culinary activities, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel to ensure exceptional service and food quality
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to meet customer demands
  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus to meet customer expectations
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrations as needed

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience, preferably in culinary arts or a related field
  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession, including food safety and sanitation
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems, including conflict resolution and team building
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and management
