Location: This role will operate under a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of an Elevance Health PulsePoint location.

The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will oversee the comprehensive delivery of system development and maintenance across medium Enterprise-wide technology platforms. This role will play a crucial part in our data engineering initiatives, particularly focusing on utilizing AWS, GCP, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Python, Apache Airflow, SSIS, and DataStage. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of our cloud-based data architecture, ensuring it meets scalability, performance, and security standards. This position is essential for managing our data workflows, supporting analytics, and generating insights that drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates requirements gathering sessions and reviews designs with stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with web and marketing teams to enhance the visibility of web products.
  • Implements enhancements in stability, performance, and scalability across critical business systems.
  • Streamlines processes to minimize barriers and inefficiencies in projects and services.
  • Manages the change request process and coordinates with relevant teams.
  • Develops and maintains a list of final enhancements.
  • Defines application scope and objectives, overseeing the preparation of technical specifications.
  • Conducts technical design and code reviews.
  • Ensures unit testing is completed and aligns with test plan requirements, alongside system testing and implementation.
  • Delivers application technology solutions and leads data information planning efforts.
  • Coordinates on-call support and manages system monitoring processes.
  • Oversees the technical development environment while collaborating with the Enterprise team.
  • Leads multiple large-scale projects and facilitates extensive group sessions for requirements gathering and modeling.

Minimum Qualifications:

A BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including multi-platform and multi-dimensional expertise in business and technical applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in mentoring and providing troubleshooting support is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in data modeling, data structures (both relational and non-relational), databases, and ETL/ELT processes, with a strong background in managing large-scale data sets.
  • Skilled in designing, implementing, and delivering scalable data solutions and pipelines on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with integration technologies (e.g., APIs).
  • Familiarity with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Redshift, Big Query).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
