Success in the Interview Process

To excel in the interview, candidates should be well-versed in materials relevant to the AWS Solutions Architect Professional exam and possess extensive knowledge of Terraform and its AWS provider. Exceptional candidates will articulate their answers clearly, provide relevant examples, and demonstrate their solutions effectively.

Extensive experience with both Windows and Linux, as well as familiarity with a major cloud provider, is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with both executives and technical teams, showcasing expertise in specific domains such as Windows, Linux, Containerization, Serverless, Machine Learning, or Software Development.

We are in search of disciplined, self-motivated individuals who are passionate about leveraging cloud solutions to address real-world business challenges. In partnership with other leaders, you will concentrate on designing, building, migrating, and optimizing solutions that utilize AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements to design and implement AWS solutions
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools to define AWS environments and workloads
  • Employ Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment tools for application delivery
  • Migrate applications from bare metal and VM environments to containers and serverless architectures
  • Transition non-scalable platforms to highly available and scalable architectures
  • Facilitate the migration of on-premise data and applications to AWS
  • Implement automation processes for application and platform operations
  • Design optimized AWS architectures considering cost, availability, and scalability
  • Assess existing AWS implementations against the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and internal teams regarding project status

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred
  • Relevant cloud provider certifications are preferred (or to be obtained within the first 90 days)

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in system engineering or administration on Linux or Windows
  • 3-5 years of experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 3+ years of AWS experience if previous experience is with Azure/GCP
  • 2-3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform
  • Expertise in one of the following domains: Windows, Linux, Containerization, Serverless, Machine Learning, or Software Development
  • Strong scripting skills in Linux or Windows (Bash/Fish/ZSH, Python, PowerShell) including the use of AWS SDK or CLI
  • 2-3 years of experience managing security controls (IAM, Least Privilege, Firewall, Patching, Antivirus, etc.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise, network, system, and application-level architecture
  • Experience with source control systems (git, VSTS, SVN) and project organization
  • Familiarity with CI practices using common tools (Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, Bamboo)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
