Job Summary

This role conducts security patrols and responds to calls for service to ensure a safe environment for patients, team members, and guests. The successful candidate will enforce IU Health rules and regulations, provide guidance and direction to team members, and assist in de-escalating tense situations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of relevant experience and a current non-restricted Indiana driver's license. A background investigation, drug screening, and psychological exam are also required.

About the Role

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within IU Health properties. The Security Officer will conduct regular patrols, respond to emergency situations, and provide support to team members and guests. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct security patrols and respond to calls for service

  • Maintain records and logs, and complete written reports as required
  • Perform physical security screening as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
