Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide security and assistance to residents, families, and guests on campus.
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform security checks throughout the buildings, home lots, and campus streets.
  • Lock down and unlock buildings at designated times and coordinate with the Director of Facility Services.
  • Greets guests at the front gate, checks destinations, and allows entry if granted.
  • Checks front gate for workability and responds to any problem areas.
  • Accompanies employees and residents to the parking lot after sundown and approaches and questions any visitors to the campus after hours.
  • Greets and directs emergency personnel to the emergency situation.
  • Implements the prescribed lighting program inside and outside the buildings and ensures all exterior lights are operational.
  • Gathers trash from campus buildings and disposes of it in a dumpster.
Requirements:
  • Technical training in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is desired.
  • CPR certification is desired.
  • Mechanical or maintenance experience is required.
  • Two years' experience in a similar courtesy or security position is desired.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and conduct all business with a professional manner and high level of confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
