We are seeking a highly skilled Security Compliance Specialist to join our team at WesBanco Bank Inc. as a Security Compliance Analyst 1. Key Responsibilities- Develop, document, and ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Evaluate bank controls for compliance to security policies, standards, and procedures by conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Document drift from company standards and work with technology owners to create a plan to remediate.
- Support information security policy compliance assessments and processes.
- Develop and maintain repeatable, documented processes to identify and collect information security risk conditions, facilitate remediation, and monitor remediation.
- Analyze and report on security findings to assist in driving audit and information security findings into remediation and closures.
- Stay updated on relevant information security laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Help develop and deliver security training and awareness programs by promoting a culture of security awareness within the bank.
- Participate in incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure lessons learned from incidents are incorporated into security policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present regular compliance reports to bank leadership.
- Continuously review and improve information security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Stay informed of emerging security threats and trends.
- Recommend and implement improvements to continue to enhance the bank's security posture.
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science or other computer-related field and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of security best practices related to one of the following: Network Security, Operating System Security, and Data Security.
- High-level understanding of enterprise networks and systems.
- Familiarity with security and technology frameworks (ITIL, NIST, CIS) a plus.
- Information Security certifications are a plus (Microsoft, CompTIA, MITRE MAD20, ISC2).
- Banking industry experience.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to analyze and articulate implications of compliance requirements and gaps.
- Strong writing skills with experience in documenting gap analyses and team documentation.
- Confidence in communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholders at every level of the organization.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong understanding of Information Security principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
