Job Title: Wintel/VMware and DC Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Wintel/VMware and DC Engineer to join our team at Omni Inclusive. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-level IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Windows Server and VMware environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory Domain environments, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, File Server, IIS, FTP, and SMB shares, as well as permissions and failover.
  • Install firmware and operating system patches and upgrades using Microsoft tools or third-party tools like Manage Engine.
  • Manage and troubleshoot VMware ESXi Server Infrastructure, including vSphere systems administration and support.
  • Perform root cause identification and troubleshooting of complex server issues.
  • Assist in the implementation, configuration, and operation of data center servers, networks, storage, and structured cabling systems.
  • Coordinate data center colocation maintenance and communicate with relevant teams.
  • Must be capable of lifting and transporting computer-related hardware up to 75 pounds.
  • Work with Change and Problem Management Tools, analyze problems, and escalate to appropriate levels.
  • Must be willing to be on-call and work evenings and/or weekend hours when requested.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Windows Server and VMware environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, and their R2 Class Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency in vSphere systems administration and support.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
