Job Title: Digital Records Specialist

At Axiom Consultants, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Records Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our records management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our digital conversion processes.

Job Summary:

The Digital Records Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the digital conversion of physical documents, ensuring accurate and efficient scanning, and maintaining the organization, accessibility, and security of digital files. This role is essential for supporting our organization's efforts in maintaining electronic records and streamlining document management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation: Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other bindings.
  • Sorting and Categorization: Sort and categorize documents to ensure logical and efficient scanning.
  • Scanning and Digitization: Operate scanning equipment to digitize documents, ensuring accurate and clear digital reproductions.
  • Quality Control: Review digitized materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Metadata Management: Apply proper naming conventions and metadata tagging for easy retrieval and indexing.
  • File Organization: Save and organize scanned documents in designated digital storage systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect digital archives from unauthorized access and data breaches.
Requirements:
  • Active Secret Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma and 2-3 years of work experience in a professional workplace.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to report progress and issues effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to perform meticulous tasks with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate scanning equipment, digital archiving software, and image enhancement tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Document Digitization Experience: Previous experience in document digitization, records management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Digital Archiving Software: Previous experience with digital archiving software is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with digital file management systems and computer skills.
