Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef in the coordination of all food service operations, ensuring seamless execution of menus and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support the implementation of business strategies and objectives, contributing to the growth and success of The Beach House.
  • Oversee and approve training and development programs for kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in the hiring process, conducting interviews and making recommendations for new team members.
  • Contribute to the monthly inventory process, ensuring accurate tracking and management of kitchen supplies and resources.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide direction and guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring effective execution of employee duties and responsibilities.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Anticipate and resolve any inventory, systems, or staffing issues, ensuring seamless operation of the kitchen.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, serving as a daily point of contact for kitchen supplies and resources.
  • Monitor labor costs, ensuring alignment with budgeted goals and company policies.
  • Perform duties of a Line Cook and other kitchen positions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple personality types.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach outward, lift/carry 11-20 lbs, push/pull 11-20 lbs, frequently.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, bend, lift/carry 21-50 lbs, push/pull 26-40 lbs, occasionally.
  • Capacity to squat or kneel, climb, and work in a moderately noisy environment.
  • Excellent sense of vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, with the ability to work Personal Protective Equipment.
