Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Crusher Plant Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain crushing and screening equipment to produce high-quality aggregate products.
  • Monitor and control the flow of materials on belts, crushers, and screens to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Collaborate with plant employees to ensure smooth and safe workflow from quarry to crusher.
  • Identify and select suitable materials to produce quality aggregate products according to job specifications.
  • Communicate with quality control personnel to make adjustments to material blends as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on conveyor belts and crushing equipment, including splicing, replacing idlers, pulleys, drive belts, bearings, and cleaning and lubrication.
  • Shut down equipment in emergency situations, blockages, or end of shift, and coordinate/assist in required repairs.
  • Operate haul trucks, skid steers, or other heavy machinery as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred, with experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.
  • Highly dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience operating mobile equipment and machinery a plus.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds. The employee must also be able to work in various climates, tolerate heights, and wear respiratory and other personal protective equipment as needed.
