Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at the Skaneateles facility. As a Groundperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the plant areas, assisting with production, and performing maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the plant areas, including heavy lifting and shoveling, to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Assist with production tasks, including operating equipment and performing maintenance duties.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents immediately.
  • Perform heavy maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of general labor and maintenance experience required.
  • Prior experience working in a construction environment highly desired.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Highly dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment operation skills a plus.
  • Ability to use a variety of equipment, including shovels, brooms, jackhammers, sweepers, forklifts, bobcats, and vacuum trucks.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements, use of wrists, and use of arms above and below shoulder.
