About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Care Coordinator to join our team at the Kennedy-Donovan Center. As a Care Coordinator, you will provide critical support to unaccompanied immigrant children released from federal custody. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of these children, as you conduct home studies to determine the suitability of child placement and provide crisis intervention services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of child safety and appropriateness of placement with their sponsor, connecting them to community services to address risk factors.
  • Provide ongoing case management, focusing on screening and referrals to address child needs in areas such as placement, safety, education, health, mental health, and more.
  • Offer crisis intervention services directly or connect families to services to ensure the child's safety and well-being in a crisis.
  • Submit detailed documentation in compliance with grantor policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding child safety, stability, or well-being in placement.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision and professional development.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a relevant field, required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English, required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, required.
  • Ability to pass an FBI background check and Child Abuse/Neglect check for every state in which you have resided in the last five years, required.
  • At least one year of experience with child welfare programs or as a Case Manager, required.
