Job Title: Preschool Instructor

Children and Families First Delaware Inc is seeking a qualified Preschool Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Preschool Instructor to work with our Head Start program. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and responsive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement learning experiences that advance the cognitive and physical development of children.
  • Develop and implement individualized curriculum based on observations and anecdotal notes.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Model appropriate classroom practices and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with families and other staff members to achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Document children's progress and individualize curriculum.
  • Complete quarterly assessment checkpoints and developmental screenings.
  • Participate in home-visiting and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements:
  • AA/AS in Early Childhood Education or related field, plus experience teaching preschool age children.
  • BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or related field, with at least six college courses in Early Childhood Education, plus experience teaching preschool age children.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills and ability to use MS Office applications.
  • Must maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to cultural differences and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
